A small, public, global biotechnology firm needed a US-facing CFO to represent the firm in the United States. They had big plans for growth that we continue to help execute.

Synopsis

When we initially connected, the company was a small, Israeli biotechnology firm with big ambitions. As it lacked finance and accounting processes, the firm’s management wanted all SEC compliance owned and handled by an outside party so they could focus on growth. Management also wanted to scale intelligently and knew

that finance and accounting needed to be agile. Given the complex regulations of US public markets and the firm’s global business and aggressive vision for growth, founding investors recommended Eventus to lead finance and accounting. The relationship has continued successfully for over six years.

Strategy & Course of Action

Eventus’ core competencies uniquely suited the company’s challenges: SEC Compliance and Financial Operations. To ensure the client was well served, we appointed one of our principals to
be their named CFO and lead the engagement. For over six years, Eventus has been involved in navigating the company

through multiple debt and equity financings totaling over $60M including a $25M private equity investment. Eventus also helped the company divest a $315M division to a strategic pharmaceutical buyer. We’ve scaled the back-office to support 10x revenue growth and ensured SEC compliance.

Eventus built a robust and flexible finance and accounting function that fit the client’s needs as it grew. With Eventus, the client has met all filing deadlines, up-listed to a national exchange, raised capital, and divested business units.
