Candace Wernick

Candace comes to Eventus Advisory Group, LLC with over 25 years of experience providing auditing, financial reporting, and consulting services to SEC reporting clients and companies in the process of becoming public, as well as non-public, closely held companies.

After graduating with a B.A. from California State University at Northridge, she would later obtain her Certificate of Accounting from UCLA.

Prior to joining Eventus, Candace was a Financial and SEC Reporting Consultant, serving as an outsourced financial reporting or SEC reporting department resource. She provided step-by-step guidance with SEC initial and periodic filings and registration statements, and preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements with required disclosures as well as the resolution of all technical issues regarding SEC and U.S. GAAP compliance and complex accounting issues, including debt/equity transactions and revenue recognition.

Candace is a CPA who provides accounting firm assurance department quality control services, specializing in EQR services for SEC clients and consultation on complex accounting, audit and SEC or PCAOB technical issues.

Her industry concentrations include technology, media, and entertainment, biotech, medical devices, manufacturing, retail, and apparel. Candace has assisted clients in connection with IPOs, reverse mergers, registration statements, and related SEC comment letter process, as well as SEC periodic reporting requirements. She also consulted on complex accounting technical issues such as revenue recognition, business combinations and debt/equity transactions.

In her spare time, Candace can be found reading on the beach.
